Dr Mike Scanlan

Dr Mike Scanlan is the Director of The Compassion Focused Parenting CiC, and was responsible for setting up and designing the clinical model for the successful and award winning ‘Changing Minds’ Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) service. He has also led the development of the Northamptonshire Long Term Conditions Psychological Therapy Service and worked as a Senior Lecturer in mental health at Northampton University and was a member of the IAPT education and training steering group. Mike regularly presents at IAPT conferences and has published widely on the topic of primary care mental health. He has recently led the clinical development of a Court liaison Mental Health Service in Milton Keynes

Andrea Svajcsik

Andrea is a classically trained violinist and teacher whose study and passion encompass traditional music of her family’s native Hungary. Here she spent time as a child and throughout which she discovered her love for Gypsy and Eastern European music working as a professional session musician. Andrea is a qualified lecturer and has extensive experience teaching art, music, creative writing, photography and design and also has experience teaching within special educational needs settings and as an arts therapist within mental health settings specialising in music and creative arts. Andrea also has extensive business experience within retail management specialising in vintage and up-cycling

David Maxwell

David started his career in retail learning his trade from the shop floor up which led to working as a customer service manager for W.H Smith before going on to study law, social sciences, art history, music technology and community development. David is a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society and has over thirty years experience working in the public and voluntary sectors within adult teaching, volunteer management, community development and safeguarding. David is a qualified adult education tutor and also has experience of accounting, charity governance and sales development having served as a Company Director within a tech and design company for five years. David is also an accomplished musician playing semi professionally for a number of years joining his first band in 1978.
